**The blue color
is the sesquiterpene AZULENE and all esstenial oils containing
AZULENE are anti-inflammatory as a property both by inhalation and
application.

Oxidation changes the chemical composition
of the essential oil. If any of these oils are brown or black when
they should be deep blue, it indicates oxidation, age, and the existence
of free radicals, and they SHOULD NOT BE USED for therapy.
Furthermore, if the clear to yellow oils appear deep brown, they too
have oxidized and are too old to use therapeutically.
The Blue Oils Kit is available:
7 Oils for $265
8 Oils for $305
9* Oils for $355

Blue Oils Botany |
|
Most of the
Blue-colored oils occur in the Compositae family, now called
Asteraceae. Five genera are represented. There is one
Cupressaceae (woody Confier) type:
Family Asteraceae
Chamaemelum
Matricaria
Artemisia
Tanacetum
Achillea
Family Cupressaceae
Callitris
The Blue Oils are
anti-inflammatory, generally becuase of the Azulene content, although
there are other factors such as bisabolol that is also inflammatory.
Also, the Blue Oils are often best taken internally for various reasons.
Callitris is a great first-aid to apply externally; it can be
mixed with Plai or Tea Tree.
